Felix Liao

I have been helping organisations transform, optimise and innovate using data and analytics for more than 15 years. I believe we are only in the start of a powerful paradigm shift in terms of how data can be leveraged to improve competitiveness, increase productivity and do more good in this world.

With big opportunities come big challenges; the process of turning large amount of data into powerful insights is not only complicated but one that is evolving constantly as new technologies emerge and new approaches are established. I recognise both the opportunities and challenges facing organisations of today and are passionate in helping organisations on this transformational journey.

My broad experience across the disciplines of data management, data visualisation and advanced analytics have equipped me with an unrivaled ability to understand the end to end analytics life cycle and appreciate what is required to deliver valuable business insights as well as solve complex business problems.

As the domain leads manager for SAS Australia/New Zealand, I lead a team of talented and passionate product domain leads who help organisations solve some of the most complex business problems. We offer advice and solutions across multiple disciplines across the analytics spectrum including data management, BI/Data Visualisation and advanced analytics/machine learning.

As the business solution manager for SAS Australia/New Zealand, I was responsible for driving the growth of SAS Data Visualisation and Big Data Analytics solutions. This includes Business Intelligence/Dashboard solutions, next generation Data Visualisation solutions as well as big data analytics solutions targeted at citizen data scientists.

I have primary responsibility for field sales operation as well as design and deployment of marketing campaigns and initiatives within the ANZ region.

- Successfully launched the SAS Visual Analytics offering in Australia (160% growth in BI in 2013)
- Established SAS MDM solution presence n Australia with 100% revenue growth from 2012 to 2014
- Successfully managed the execution of large scale marketing product workshops (7 cities, 300+ attendees)
